Testul Galleri a identificat peste 50 de tipuri de cancer în stadii incipiente

Un test de sânge denumit Galleri a reușit să depisteze mai mult de 50 de tipuri de cancer în cadrul unui studiu clinic realizat în America de Nord. Din acestea, peste jumătate au fost descoperite în faze incipiente, când tratamentul este mai eficient. Testul detectează fragmente de ADN canceros care circulă în sânge, desprinse din tumori.

Studiul a implicat 25.000 de adulți monitorizați pe durata unui an, reușind să confirme prezența cancerului în peste 60% din cazurile detectate de test. În plus, testul a avut o rată de precizie ridicată, excluzând corect cancerul la peste 99% dintre pacienții cu rezultat negativ.

Potrivit ziarulprahova.ro, această metodă inovatoare oferă perspective importante în diagnosticarea precoce a cancerului, ceea ce poate salva vieți. „Testul Galleri poate detecta fragmente de ADN canceros care s-au desprins de o tumoare și circulă în sânge”, precizează sursa.

Rezultatele studiului subliniază valoarea testului Galleri în identificarea timpurie a bolii oncologice, oferind astfel pacienților șanse mai mari de recuperare și tratamente mai puțin invazive.
