Școala a început: riscuri pentru coloana vertebrală la copii

Începutul anului școlar aduce elevi cu ghiozdane pline: cărți, caiete, penar, bloc de desen, pensule, echipament sport și pachețel. Potrivit unui documentar prezentat de Hotnews, o greutate excesivă poate afecta sănătatea coloanei vertebrale, chiar dacă mitul este că ghiozdanul singur provoacă scolioza.

Chiar dacă este nevoie de intervenție chirurgicală, rezultatele pot fi bune, iar decizia familiei poate fi dificilă. Diagnosticul precoce permite tratament; „Dacă scolioza este diagnosticată înainte ca copilul să aibă un puseu de creștere, medicul poate stabili un plan de tratament care să prevină o deformare și mai severă”.

Pentru protecția coloanei, ghiozdanul nu trebuie să depășească 10% din greutatea corporală a copilului; de exemplu, un copil de 32 kg ar trebui să poarte maximum 3 kg. Studiile arată că elevii, în medie, poartă în jur de 15% din greutate.

Potrivit %source% ziarulprahova.ro, Dr. Ronald Roiz spune că scolioza este o deformare a coloanei vertebrale. „La vârste de 10-12 ani, copiii devin mai rezervați, iar părinții nu mai sunt implicați în activități precum îmbăierea zilnică, prilej cu care ar putea observa o modificare.”
