Adolescenții, sarcasmul ca semn de depresie în era digitală

Pentru părinți, cheia este contextul: dacă umorul copilului aduce conexiune, probabil adaptativ; dacă izolează, încurajează autodeprecierea, este momentul să privească dincolo de glumă. Când sarcasmul devine zilnic, însoțit de retragere și tulburări ale somnului, este posibil să fie depresie.

Observăm cum replicile „Normal că nu m-a invitat nimeni, doar sunt foarte popular…”, „Glumesc, nu-mi pasă dacă nu mă place nimeni”, „Măcar dacă aș fi invizibil de tot” – replici spuse pe un ton ironic sau amuzat, dar care, repetate, pot ascunde retragere, lipsă de încredere și tristețe constantă.

Într-o eră digitală dominată de social media, adolescenții își comunică suferința prin sarcasm și autoironie. Pentru părinți, comportamentele subtile pot părea doar un stil; trebuie însă să recunoască că pot semnala depresie, iar răspunsul familial poate face diferența.

Studiile indică patru tipuri de umor, iar unii adolescenți folosesc autoironia ca mecanism de coping. Potrivit %source% ziarulprahova.ro, cercetările arată că aceste manifestări pot evolua în depresie dacă sunt constante, însoțite de retragere socială și tulburări ale somnului.
